Before your first cruise in Greece with Cyachts...
Yachting in Greece is a popular activity and a great way to explore the stunning coastline and beautiful islands of this Mediterranean country. Here are some tips for yachting in Greece:
- Let us guide you and create a personalised itinerary: Greece has thousands of islands, so it's important to plan your route in advance to make the most of your trip. According to your needs and what you are interested in exploring, we will suggest the ideal islands for you. Always weather permitted!
- Choose the right time of year: The best time to go yachting in Greece is from May to October when the weather is warm and the seas are calm. July and August can be very busy, so if you prefer a quieter experience, consider traveling in May, June, or September. While the Saronic islands are great from May to October, Cyclades, for example, are better during June, September and October. The ideal is, when you contact us, to give us the approximate dates you are interested in chartering a yacht but to be flexible too. Don't forget that a booking is subject to availability...
- Take advantage of the local cuisine: Greece is famous for its delicious cuisine, so be sure to try some of the local dishes during your trip, such as moussaka, souvlaki, cheese and fresh seafood. The chefs always try to use as many local products in their recipes as possible so in the end of the charter, you will have tasted the creme de la creme of the local gastronomy.
- Explore the islands: One of the biggest advantages of yachting in Greece is the ability to explore the islands at your own pace. Take some time to visit the beaches, coves, and villages on each island and immerse yourself in the local culture. It's not bad to stay in the same island for 2 days. We can always make changes to the itinerary so that you can enjoy your stay even more.
- Trust us and the crew: One of the main reasons you should charter a yacht with Condoyannis Yachts is our experience in yachting. There are hundreds of maritime laws, yachts that are good, crews that are inexperienced and one million things that we take into consideration before sending you our suggestions. If you don't see a yacht that you liked in an online booking platform on our suggestion list is because we know that this yacht isn't, for some reasons, the right fit for you. We treat our clients as our guests and we want the best for you, no matter how expensive or budget friendly the boat you rented from us is. The same goes for the crew. We are always in touch with the crew during your trip and if something goes wrong, we will try to fix it but you need to trust the crew and especially the captain. If he suggests, for example, that due to weather, the itinerary has to change, then the itinerary has to change....
